It’s only been a few days since Christmas, but people are already trying to sell their unwanted gifts online.
And some sellers even ask for more than the retail price.
We’ve all been there; You clumsily unwrap a gift and realize it’s a hideous sweater in a color you’d never wear or another shower gel gift set.
And now the cheeky Brits are wasting no time getting rid of the mess.
Some people were seen listing their gifts on resale sites just 48 hours after the big day.
First up is a sneaky listing for a 100ml bottle of Vera Wang Princess perfume.
The fragrance is available new from high street beauty retailer Superdrug for £24.
And this seller wants to charge correctly: he asks for £32.20.
A cheeky Brit posted an unwanted gift (a bottle of Vera Wang perfume) on a resale site and asked for more than the retail price.
A Jellycat-branded penguin also appeared on a resale site, described as an “unwanted Christmas gift.”
The description simply says: “Unwanted Christmas Gift.”
A real bargain, however, is a pair of GHD hair straighteners, still in the box, for £84.70.
Sadly, a huge Jellycat penguin wasn’t on anyone’s Christmas list either.
It is offered online for £81.30, with buyer protection. The original price is £80, but despite there being no real markup, the seller describes the toy as “quite difficult to find”.
One of the most luxurious gifts found on a resale site is a gaming console.
One lucky person received not one but two Playstation 5s this holiday season.
To buy new, they sell for £389,899 according to Argos.
This seller is not only looking to profit, but he wants to make a considerable profit.
One lucky recipient received not one, but two Playstation 5s for Christmas and put one up for sale online – at a higher price than listed on Argos.
Another unwanted Christmas gift listed online was this book called Get A Hobby, which was priced at £3.85.
They have listed the item at £410.19.
However, according to the post, the seller makes offers, as long as they are sensible.
Finally, another person clearly didn’t like the message when he was given a book titled Get a Hobby.
Priced at £3.85, this unwanted Christmas gift is ideal for anyone still looking for a New Year’s resolution.
Or for those who are super organized, it could be a bargain for next year’s Secret Santa.
