Lotterywest tweeted that the Division One award had been won Tuesday night, reminding those who bought a ticket to check their wallets.

The winning numbers were 22, 30, 24, 12, 5, 3, 27 with additional numbers 39 and 28.

Pina Compagnone, a spokesman for Lotterywest, said it was Oz Lotto’s first major win for Western Australia this year.

“It’s always an exciting time when the state produces a big Lotto winner, especially a billion dollar winner,” said Compagnone.

“It contributed to our growing number of Division One winners, who are now at 28 and have prizes worth nearly $ 36.5 million in total.”

People who commented on Lotterywest’s Facebook page congratulated the winner, who may still not be aware that they have become millionaires.

“Oh, that shop only started recently! It’s my local. Congrats!’ one person said.

“Congratulations, how wonderful for you, especially in this strange year, have fun !!” another said.

“Sometimes I don’t buy there,” said another.

“Great if a West Aussie wins,” added a fourth.

The organization established the Lotterywest COVID-19 Relief Fund, which regulates ticket sales gains to help restore the Western Australian community.

The next prizes up for grabs are the Set for Life draw on Wednesday night with a jackpot of $ 20,000 a month for 20 years and a Powerball draw of $ 15 million on Thursday night.
