The Geordie Shore star, 34, made the comment as she prepared to impress Gregg and fellow judge John Torode in the kitchen.

The first five celebrities to don aprons this week were This Morning’s Craig Doyle, Charlotte, radio presenter Edith Bowman, Steps pop star Ian ‘H’ Watkins and radio DJ Snoochie Shy.

The series kicks off with four three-episode Heat Weeks designed to test celebrities’ cooking skills.

While bragging about her cooking skills, she told the camera: “If Gregg had a hair on his head, I’d blow it away with my awesome cooking!”

She joked around in the kitchen as her rowdy antics drew the attention of onlookers, but she produced some impressive dishes.

In the first episode of Heat, five new celebrities took on the famous “Under The Cloche” challenge: creating a dish from scratch that shows what they can do.

A two-course dinner menu was then served.

As an ingredient for his Cloche, he sourced pigeon and served it with asparagus and mashed potatoes, which the judges said were perfectly cooked.

For dinner she prepared a paella and then a chocolate fondant that also impressed the judges.

Snoochie was the first star to be eliminated in the episode.

The 32-year-old DJ and radio presenter quit the early rounds after failing to impress judges Gregg and John.

As she said goodbye, she said, “It’s sad to go home, but I know a lot of disasters have happened in that kitchen, so I knew I was leaving. I’m going home, have a glass of wine and get some rest!”

Snoochie’s Cloche ingredient was aubergine and she made a curry, but the judges weren’t impressed with the presentation.

For her dinner menu, she cooked another curry: this time a Thai red prawn curry and then a peach crumble for dessert.

John and Gregg were not impressed that she cooked another curry as they could not see what her other skills were.

They also said their crumble was too hard and the ratio of fruit to topping wasn’t good enough.

She had previously said of her reasons for entering the show: ‘I mean it’s an absolutely iconic show and I’ve always watched it!

‘I came in to try and learn new tips and tricks in the hopes that I could be more of a chef in the kitchen without feeling like I was poisoning my friends.’

Fans will see a dazzling line-up of stars from the worlds of film and theatre, sport and the arts, all competing in the race to lift the 2024 trophy.

Among the rest of the star-studded cast battling to become the series 19 champion are model and TV personality Christine McGuinness and Eastenders actress Danielle Harold.

Each celebrity will roll up their sleeves as they enter the kitchen, but only one will emerge victorious from this battle and earn the title of MasterChef 2024 Champion, following in the footsteps of last year’s winner Wynne Evans.

Other celebrities competing include reality TV star Chloe Burrows and The Traitors star Diane Carson.

Model and TV personality Emma Thynn, comedian and actor Eshaan Akbar and Team GB sprinter and gladiator Harry Aikines-Aryeetey will also appear on the show.

They will be joined by personalities including Jake Quickenden, comedian Jamie MacDonald, pop star Mutya Buena and BBC Radio 2 presenter OJ Borg.

Completing the cast are actress Rochenda Sandall, actor Tamer Hassan and Strictly pro actor Vito Coppola.

The show will kick off with four three-episode Heat Weeks designed to test celebrities’ cooking skills.

Successful chefs will then have the opportunity to enter the world of a professional restaurant and design their own dish for a food truck.
