Charlize wrote makeup artist Kazu Hiro with special effects for helping her metamorphosis, although he was originally wary of the look.
& # 39; It is really hard for (Kazu) to do new things, but I begged a lot and he came up and designed eight (prosthetic) pieces for me, & # 39; she told THR.
The & # 39; complicated & # 39; pieces even contained two eyelid prostheses, which actually covered (her) entire eyelids & # 39; but could still carry it out.
& # 39; It was very complicated work. Complicated work where you still need to be able to do what you need to do, such as blinking, & she said.

The film, which follows the sexual misconduct scandals surrounding the late Fox News founder Roger Ailes, also sees Nicole Kidman make a more subtle transformation to former former Fox anchor Gretchen Carlson.
In June 2016, former Fox & Friends host Carlson was silently released from the network after 11 years when her contract expired.
Just a few weeks later, on July 6, Carlson sued Ailes and claimed that she was released after refusing his sexual advances and complaining about harassment in the workplace.
Ailes denied the allegations and accused Carlson of filing the lawsuit as retaliation because her contract was not extended.

Parent company 21st Century Fox then launched an internal evaluation.
Three days later, on July 9, allegations from six other women are published. The women accused Ailes of sexual misconduct.
On July 19, it was reported that Megyn Kelly, who was perhaps the biggest star of Fox News, told the researchers that Ailes was making unwanted sexual advances over her when she first joined the network.
Ailes resigned on July 21. He died less than a year later in May 2017.
