Charlize Theron had a big announcement on Tuesday.
In her first Instagram post in three months, the 48-year-old movie queen said she was trying something new with her career.
“I’ve been a little bit MIA lately, but I have a good excuse, I swear. It’s because… I opened a dance studio!” shared the Oscar-winning actress, who was last seen in June.
‘Together with my co-creators and incomparable icons Latrina Bolger-Washington and Tyrell Washington, we created The Six Compound!’
Theron shared a photo of herself with Latrina and Tyrell.

In April, she took her youngest daughter, August, to the Christian Dior pre-fall 2024 show.
The 48-year-old actress and her seven-year-old daughter were dressed in Dior as they sat front row during their exciting mother-daughter date at the Brooklyn Museum in New York City.
The Monster star, who enjoyed a fun family spring break trip to Disney World with August and her eldest daughter, Jackson 11, last month, looked glamorous.
“A place with a fresh perspective on the evolution and future of dance and acting,” added the blonde Mad Max: Fury Road actress.
Theron put on a leggy display in June when she attended the American Film Critics Association’s inaugural LGBTQ Film and Television Celebration in Los Angeles.
Previously, Theron took August and Jackson to Disney World as seen in a Instagram post from her vacation, which she titled: ‘Spring break mode activated.’
She shared several snaps of herself and her daughters wearing Disney merchandise as they explored the theme park.
In one adorable snap, they posed in front of a rainbow mural and all flashed bright smiles.
Theron held seven-year-old August in her arms as Jackson smiled.

Two weeks ago, Theron took August and Jackson, 11, to Disney World, as seen in an Instagram post from their vacation, which she captioned: “Spring break mode on.”
The Mad Max: Fury Road actress adopted her two beautiful daughters Jackson and August in 2012 and 2015, respectively.
In May 2018, she opened up about her decision to adopt in an interview with Chelsea Handler for She.
“I’ve always been aware that there are many children in this world who don’t have families,” she explained.
“Adoption is a very personal thing. I know people I love very much who don’t believe they can raise another child as their own. I respect that,” she continued.
“But I – and I can’t be the only one – never saw a difference between raising an adopted child and raising my own biological child,” she said.
Theron added that she always knew she wanted to adopt her children.
“I don’t feel like I’m missing out on anything,” she admitted. “This was always my first choice, even when I was in a relationship.”
“I was very honest with my partners and told them that I was willing to have my own biological children, but that adoption had to be part of my life. I was convinced of that.”
