Lily-Rose Depp, star of Nosferatu, recently revealed the secrets behind the making of the long-awaited vampire film.
The new version of the old story sees Bill Skarsgård in the role of the bloodthirsty Count Orlok, with the star playing Ellen Hutter, the object of his obsession.
The French-American actress has received rave reviews for her performance in the disturbing remake.
In one scene she is seen drenched in blood pouring from her eyes, which she said was difficult to film.
Speaking to Natalie Portman in a conversation with Interview magazine, she said: “There was blood I would have to put in my eyes and I’m crying just talking about it.” My eyes are very sensitive.’
The Black Swan star, 43, asked Lily-Rose, who he has known since she was 16, how they achieved the gory moments and whether the directors were picky about how the blood would drip.
Lily-Rose confirmed: “Yeah, they sure want it to drip a certain way.”
She and her co-star Emma become possessed in the film, which releases on Christmas, and with that came a physical challenge.

Lily-Rose admitted that she had assumed that for those haunted scenes she and Emma would “just freak out” and improvise.

They also rehearsed with corsets, Lily-Rose revealed, which she said helped with characterization as it gave them insight into women’s experiences in the 19th century.
“It’s helpful because you think, ‘This is what these women would have worn at the time,'” she explained. ‘They would have been scared in a corset.
“It’s a way of making physical all the oppression against women at that time.”
