A former worker at NSW-based electrical and mechanical services company Vallec claims his former boss sent him an abusive message (pictured) after he resigned.

A former employee has shared an incredible text message that he claims was sent by his boss after he resigned from a bankrupt company.

Charles, who did not want to use his real name, said he left electrical and mechanical services company Vallec five years ago after feeling it was on the brink of collapse.

The New South Wales-based company, run and partly owned by Tobias ‘Toby’ McCosker, went bankrupt just two months later.

‘They had a huge tax bill. They were behind on payments with suppliers. “I saw the writing on the wall,” said the former worker. news.com.au.

He claims that shortly after resigning he received an aggressive text message from Mr. McCosker.

“My last message to you is that you are a damn bitch who can’t (sic) deliver anything but a box of farts that you value (sic) like shit,” it read.

‘Any fucking day of the week you want.’

Vallec went into liquidation along with two other related companies, based in Newcastle, with debts totaling more than $7 million.

McCosker is understood to have worked at Vallec alongside Mike Arnold, who was declared bankrupt 10 years ago and banned from running his own business.

The former employee claimed that Arnold played a key role at Vallec.

It is understood they were also involved in another construction company, Workspace One Pty Ltd, which collapsed last year.

Liquidator Liam Bailey suggested in his legal report to the corporate regulator that Arnold was the shadow director of Workspace One.

The actual director was Mr Arnold’s wife, Kathryn, but it was alleged that she ran the company in name only, as Mr Arnold was prohibited from using his own name.

Bailey also accused Arnold of taking $861,000 from Workspace One before its collapse, more than enough to cover the company’s $845,000 debt.

He previously said he had transferred the money to his personal account to reimburse trading costs.

Contractors who worked with Workspace One last year said they “never met” Ms Arnold, even though she was the apparent director of the business.

“He (Mike Arnold) was basically the project manager, he ran all the operations, he was basically the man, it was all him,” one creditor said.

Rhys Clarke, of Cools Electrical, said he only realized Arnold was the director of Workspace One when his company went against hers in court.

Clarke added that McCosker had a “baffling” consulting role at Workspace One.

‘Its title was very, very confusing. He knew he was an electrician. He knew that he had done something before in the electrical air conditioning industry. But very unclear. It was strange for him to be there,” Mr Clarke said.

However, he said it was “very clear” McCosker and Arnold were friends.

During Mr Bailey’s investigation, which he submitted in a report to the Australian Securities Investment Commission (ASIC), he described Workspace One’s accounting skills as “abysmal”.

He was forced to enlist the help of ASIC to order Ms Arnold to comply with the delivery of the missing documents to the liquidator.

ASIC brought civil proceedings against Ms Arnold last year and she was fined $500 for failing to prepare a statement of the company’s affairs and $1,000 for failing to hand over books to Mr Bailey.

Following the collapse of Workspace One last year, the Arnolds moved to the Mid North Coast and Arnold now works at another construction company, Alurt Construction, alongside McCosker.
