The Fiat car from Seinfeld actor Charles Levin became & # 39; quite pounded & # 39; found on a remote country road so rough that the local resident found the terrain too dangerous to drive even in his big truck.
Human remains that were thought to have been discovered by the 70-year-old actor during a forest investigation near Selma, Oregon, on Saturday night.
Levin was missing on June 28 by his son Jesse, 34.
The actor's last known contact was the same day when he called a family friend to say he was lost close to Cave Creek – nearly nine miles from Deer Creek Road near where the remains were found, some distance away of the small Fiat car from Levin.
The car was found from the & # 39; almost impassable & # 39; road that was not & # 39; really designed for compact vehicles & # 39; and was eliminated by terrain, officials said.
The car contained the corpse of his beloved pet Pug Boo Bear.
On Monday, the man who discovered Levin & # 39; s orange Fiat told DailyMail.com that he believed Levin was the victim of a shortcut home because the country lane was so dangerous to drive on.

On Monday, the man who discovered the orange Fiat from Levin told DailyMail.com that he believed Levin was the victim of a shortcut home, saying: & I would not have been driving there alone in any way. I think he might have made some bad decisions & # 39;
The local, who asked not to be mentioned, said: & It seemed that he was trying to make a way back to Grants Pass (where he lived).
& # 39; But the road he traveled was remote and has no signs. It is easy to get lost and GPS is not working.
& # 39; His car was pretty pounded and was from a logging trail. I went on foot and walked. I would not have come there alone in any way. I think maybe he made some bad decisions. & # 39;
The Good Samaritan called Oregon State Police in his discovery at about 7:40 pm according to police logs, and troopers on the scene called for search and rescue after finding the body of Boo Bear in the car.
Levin was found a few hours later by the police who conducted a screening investigation. The Josephine County medical examiner is now performing an autopsy on the remains and is expected to confirm the identity of the 70-year-old later this week.
The actor moved to Grants Pass, Oregon in 2004 and had a Hollywood career with appearances in dozens of films, including Annie Hall and This is Spinal Tap.
He also starred in the Alice TV series in 1983 and in 1993 lit up an episode of Seinfeld called The Bris with a mohel – a person who performs circumcision.
On Monday, neighbors who lived close to his $ 239,000 rented house in Grants Pass called him a & # 39; a nice guy & # 39; who was never seen without his pug.

Nina Olstead said that Levin was the first to welcome her to the neighborhood when she moved into the area in March and said she was sad to hear that he had died.
& # 39; He was the first to welcome me on the street when I arrived and brought a bottle of wine.
& # 39; He was a very nice man and he was always with his dog – they were inseparable. He even made arrangements for a good friend to take care of the dog if something happened to him. However, he was not sick – the dog was; it was fat and old.
& # 39; I didn't know he was an actor at first. What happened is really sad. & # 39;
But other neighbors said that Levin had made enemies, with one telling DailyMail.com that he had driven his car to another in a fit of anger.
The neighbor, who wanted to remain anonymous, said: & The guy who lives there, I suspect he (Levin) once ran him in the car.
& # 39; We've only been here a month, so we've seen him walk around. However, we had no problems with him. & # 39;
Despite finding success in the 80s and 90s, Levin's life seemed to take a downward turn after moving to Oregon, where the actor repeatedly encountered problems with the law.

In 2007, he was convicted of manipulating drug reports three times – creating a false prescription – to obtain amphetamines and a $ 200 fine and probation.
In 2011, Levin was convicted for the second time for the same crime and also for possession of a controlled substance for four times.
On that occasion he was given 18 months to go for drug possession and 24 months for sabotage.
He was recently convicted in May 2018 of disorderly behavior in the second degree after he became involved in an argument with a fellow dog runner.
According to a probable cause sworn statement obtained by DailyMail.com, he became furious during a dispute over leashes.
The sworn statement continues: & (39) (Levin) pulled an anesthetic rifle out of his vehicle and tried repeatedly to stun the victim.
& (39) (Levin) pursued the victim while attempting to anesthetize him, causing him to fear imminent bodily harm. & # 39;
