Charles Barkley revealed on Saturday night that he had lost 60 pounds, with his doctor warning him he needed to improve his health.
Speaking on the ‘NHL on TNT’ pre-game show ahead of Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Panthers and Golden Knights, Barkley was praised for his physique before revealing his recent transformation .
“My doctor told me I was fat,” he said. So I lost 60 lbs.
“She said to me, ‘There’s no fat old people, only fat young people…if you don’t put it all together, you won’t be here.
Barkley, who was known as “Round Mound of Rebound” during his playing days, also said he used the drug Mounjaro to lose weight.

The NBA Hall of Famer also spoke about his upcoming CNN talk show with Gayle King.
The show, which is slated to begin this fall depending on the networkwill be an “unrestricted look at hot topics,” King said in April.
But not everyone trusts Barkley to succeed.
“Apparently with this new talk show I’m jumping on the titanic,” he said on Saturday. ‘Everyone keeps saying ‘give up, abort.’
Although best known for his storied NBA career and starring on “Inside the NBA” (also on TNT), Barkley is a lifelong hockey fan and complimented the sport before the game started.
“I love your guys’ sport, it’s so awesome,” he said, before poking fun at the NBA’s “load management and ‘superteams’.”
“I love that you only care about winning the Stanley Cup. And that’s what all sports should be.
Barkley predicted the Panthers would even the series at 2-2 after winning Game 3.
