During his appearance on The View, Charlamange was ambushed by the show’s hosts, who demanded to know why he refused to endorse Biden in 2024.
“You have a huge platform that reaches millions of people,” said Sunny Hostin, addressing the famous host of The Breakfast Club.
“You endorsed Biden in 2020,” he continued. —This time you say that you are not going to support anyone. Charlamange, this is not the time to sit back.

During his appearance on The View, Charlamange was ambushed by the show’s hosts, who demanded to know why he refused to endorse Biden in 2024. When Charlamange mentioned third-party candidates, Whoopi said, “I’ll beat your ass.”
Charlamange responded by pointing out that he never said he was not going to participate in the elections and that he was definitely going to vote.
“I like to focus on problems, not individuals,” he said, before being interrupted by Hostin, who grimly repeated: “Why not endorse?” Why not endorse Biden?
Charlamange made it clear that he considered Trump a threat to democracy and then noted that there were only two options for president. But he opposed the idea of explicitly endorsing Biden.
‘Why do you need us to say this if we don’t feel comfortable saying it?’ Charlamange asked in reference to celebrity endorsements of Biden.
Later in his appearance on The View, the radio host said, “The reality is, I think both candidates are trash.”
At one point, View host Sunny Hostin interrupted Charlamange and asked, “Why not endorse?” Why not endorse Biden?
“The reality is, I think both candidates are trash,” Charlamange said of Biden and Trump.
At another point, host Alyssa Farah Griffin called Charlamange a ‘double enemy,’ an odd designation that baffled him.
Griffin further explained that a double enemy was someone who didn’t like Biden or Trump.
“I thought nowadays that’s just called being an American,” Charlagmange replied, before adding, “if you look at the polls, people don’t seem to be satisfied with either.”
Whoopi Goldberg rambled about not understanding why Democrats are angry at Joe Biden. She then said there were only two candidates, at which point Charlamange said there were also third party candidates.
“I’ll beat your ass,” Goldberg responded.
“Why do you need us to say this if we don’t feel comfortable saying it?” Charlamange asked, referring to celebrity endorsements of Biden.
Host Alyssa Farah called Charlamange a ‘double enemy’, a designation she objected to. She countered that according to polls, most Americans are dissatisfied with either candidate.
The day after her appearance on The View, Charlamange joined Megyn Kelly on her podcast.
“I saw you yesterday on The View, where they were trying to focus on you and Biden and this presidential race,” Kelly said.
“Those women really wanted you to say you had his back,” Kelly continued.
The podcast host then asked Charlamange why he was reluctant to endorse Biden, despite making it very clear that he was not going to vote for Trump.
“Simply because I’m not a fan,” he replied.
“People think that not wanting to endorse means I’m not going to vote, which I think is the strangest thing ever,” Charlamange said, apparently referring to Hostin’s comments on The View.
“I’m not a fan,” Charlamange said of Biden when asked why he refused to explicitly endorse him.
Charlamange then mentioned his unusual exchange with Whoopi Goldberg in his chat with Kelly.
‘There was another moment in that conversation where I just said, “Hey, there are third-party candidates.” Whoopi told me she would beat me up if I mentioned third party candidates.
“I think it’s a little strange where we are as a culture and as a society where it’s almost like there’s one of two extremes.”
Kelly noted how the daytime talk show hosts were “really pushing” Charlamange to endorse Biden.

‘They wanted you to go to your audience and say, “Vote for Biden,” and it was very strange. It’s like you have a magic wand that will change this.
“Exactly,” Charlamange agreed, before reflecting that he did not “believe that the two-party system has been best for us here in the United States.”
Kelly asked the radio host if he would consider voting for RFK Jr., prompting Charlamange to reveal that he had explored all the third-party candidates, including Marianne Williamson and Dr. Cornel West.
“I’ve been looking for third parties since 2016,” Charlamange said.
He added: “I’m really surprised that there hasn’t been a third-party candidate who hasn’t been able to come forward and really galvanize people, especially since American seems to be very disappointed with the options we have now.” ‘
Later in the interview, Charlamange reflected on the public’s disillusionment with the machinery of politics.
‘We are the exhausted majority… It’s not just about being tired of Democrats or Republicans. “People are just tired of politics, period,” he said.
‘If these parties want people to be more enthusiastic about their candidates, maybe they should field better candidates. I don’t think it’s rocket science.
