Radio host Charlamagne tha God laughed in Lara Trump’s face after she claimed her father-in-law Donald was not racist.
The radio host, whose real name is Lenard McKelvey, was co-chair of the RNC on his popular show The Breakfast Club on Monday, weeks after hosting a town hall with Kamala Harris.
Co-host DJ Envy asked Trump to respond to the notion that people feel Donald Trump is “racist,” citing lawsuits filed against him for not renting to black people and his treatment of the Central Park Five.
‘That’s ridiculous. I have known this man for sixteen years. There was never evidence of anything with the houses; They solved that. “Nothing was admitted there,” Trump said.
Charlamagne, however, could no longer contain his laughter after Lara said: ‘Donald Trump was really beneficial to the black community when he was in the White House. “I will say that I have never seen this man say anything racist.”

Lara, annoyed by the interruption, asked, ‘Why is that funny, Charlamagne?’
“It’s hysterical,” he responded. “People act as if Google doesn’t exist or as if they don’t have television or radio.”
He then asked Charlamagne to mention racist things the former president had said in the past.
‘This is a man loved by so many people in this country, and he was a friend to everyone. Jesse Jackson, by the way… (Trump) allowed them to stay rent-free in one of his buildings, the Rainbow Coalition, because he felt that at the time that was a very important thing.’
He then responded to Charlamagne’s complaints about how Trump talks about immigrants by saying that his father-in-law is only against illegal immigration.
‘If you are an American citizen, Donald Trump doesn’t care about your religion. “He doesn’t care what you look like,” she said.
While he hosted Harris at a town hall, Charlamagne also criticized the ticket, including the choice of Tim Walz as his running mate.
The Breakfast Club radio host summed it up: “I don’t think he’s trash” after first quoting a scathing Jay-Z lyric when considering whether Walz was the right choice for a potential vice president over other options like Pennsylvania governor, Josh Shapiro.

Charlamagne sarcastically mused about whether Minnesota’s governor is the best “white guy getting other white people excited,” but admitted he doesn’t see Walz’s “impact.”
Paraphrasing Jay-Z’s hit ‘Takeover,’ Charlamagne asked: “What did Jay-Z say? ‘He had a spark when he started, but now he’s just garbage’?”
‘I don’t think it’s rubbish, you know what I’m saying? But it’s like I don’t see the impact.”
In their one-on-one conversation, Charlamagne discussed marijuana legalization, reparations for Black people, and American foreign policy spending.
