Bali has run out of power after a major power cut Wednesday afternoon.
Electricity was turned off on the tourist island of Indonesia shortly after 12:00 p.m. local time, following a power outage between a coal-fired power plant and a substation, Nine News reported.
The homes remain without power in Denpasar six hours later and the traffic lights are still low in the city.

Local service authorities are still investigating the exact cause of the interruption while working to restore power.
Expat Roy Suer tweeted: "While temporary problems are normal in Bali, this is the biggest I've experienced so far."
