In the two years since he disappeared from our screens, he has continued to collect a monthly check from Ten, the forgotten child of commercial television, despite industry-wide cuts.
His controversial departure from Nine and the complicated circumstances of his departure from Ten (with the Lehrmann defamation saga) inspired almost all media commentators to rule out his chances of a return to television.

There’s no denying that Wilkinson remains one of the most recognizable faces in the country and a major draw among certain demographics, so we reckon it won’t be long until he pops up somewhere new.
