A Channel Seven presenter has revealed the full extent of his injuries after being involved in a horror accident on Wednesday.
7News Adelaide star Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom, 54, was riding South Australia’s Santos Tour Down Under when he fell off his bike and injured himself.
The sports presenter broke his hand and scraped his face in the fall, and later shared photos with viewers that captured the extent of his painful injuries.
One photo showed him with huge bruise marks on his face and another revealed his arm was broken and in a cast.
Fortunately, Soderstrom managed to anchor the 6 p.m. news and assured viewers that he was recovering.
He later revealed the set of events that led to the incident to The advertiser.

‘I had a small incident with the traffic island that was going at slow speed at the beginning. “It was just a little island in the city and I went right over the handlebars,” he began.
‘I ended up breaking my hand and got some bark off my face. The only thing that saved me was that my teeth weren’t crushed.
Miraculously, Soderstrom managed to successfully complete the bike race despite his injuries.
“I decided I was going to get back on my bike and finish the ride, and then I checked on him… he ended up with a broken hand.”
Soda has had a long media career in Adelaide, both on television and radio.
In October, it was revealed that Soda and his radio co-host Rebecca Morse were ending their long-running SAFM breakfast show, Bec & Soda.
Soda’s announced that he was leaving the show to deal with some “difficult personal circumstances.”
Rebecca later told listeners that her contract with SAFM had not been renewed, so she would also be resigning.

“They told me my contract would not be renewed and offered me the opportunity to see out the rest of the week,” Rebecca posted on social media.
Soda is a former athlete and played in over 100 local football matches in the SANFL between 1992 and 2000.
He has three children with his wife Kate.
Since then, former AFL star Bernie Vince and veteran radio presenter Emma Georgiadis have taken over the schedule with their show, Bernie & Emma.
