Channel Nine’s Hamish Blake has revealed he is a “superfan” of survival series Alone Australia.
And in a surprising move, the Lego Masters favorite, 42, announced he will host a special episode of the SBS hit on May 29.
Alone Australia: The Reunion will feature Hamish in an intimate chat with the season two cast.
The episode will air immediately after the winner of the dramatic survival series is announced on Wednesday.
In the grueling show, 10 survivors are dumped on the remote expanse of New Zealand’s South Island, where they must survive their competition for a chance to win $250,000.

And the reunion will be the cast’s first chance to share their experiences since enduring the hardships of the New Zealand wilderness.
Fans can also expect to see images and clips that were not shown during this year’s hit season.
Meanwhile, Hamish admits he’s not a survivor, even though he is a big fan.
“I, like everyone, become deeply invested in each season of Alone as I smugly watch it from the comfort of my own couch,” he said in a statement.

‘I have a lot of respect for the contestants and so many things that I want to ask them as a viewer, again, from a couch, but this time in a studio with them.
“I hope our conversation has a lot more trout than eels, and if you don’t understand that reference, you might not see it,” he joked.
The show, which has been a huge hit for SBS, has been billed as the most brutal and authentic reality show in history, as the contestants are left alone in the wild and must film themselves.
The first season of Alone Australia made headlines last year after becoming SBS’s most-watched original series.
Based on an American format, the Australian version, whose first season was filmed in Tasmania, garnered more than a million viewers in half of its 11 episodes.
In the season one finale, Gina Chick was crowned the winner of the series, after braving the elements to survive in the grueling wilderness for 67 days.
