Tony Jones has broken his silence on AFL WAG Rebecca Judd’s shocking Brownlow Medal claim that she was “scared” of him after he tried to kiss her live on television in 2016.
The Channel Nine sports presenter, 62, attended the Brownlow Awards alongside Judd, 41, on Monday night and reportedly avoided speaking to her, leading Judd to joke that he was “scared” of her.
“I was a little disappointed (Jones didn’t approach me). I thought he was going to make a joke about it!” Judd told reporters that night.
“But he was actually scared. He had a scared look in his eyes.”
Jones later responded to Judd’s shocking claim on Nine News, revealing there was some truth to her bold claim.
“Was I scared last night? Of course! I thought I had a few options: plant one again or let it go. I chose to let it go.”
Judd and Jones were both in attendance at the AFL’s night of nights in Melbourne on Monday but worked hard to avoid colliding with each other.

The incident with Rebecca occurred at Nine News Melbourne in August 2016, when Tony attempted to kiss her on the cheek before she went on maternity leave.
“Good luck, Bec!” he said, before bowing, as the WAG instinctively pulled away and screamed, before breaking into fits of laughter.

Realizing he had just been rejected on camera, Tony crossed his arms and grumbled, “Okay, this is going well,” as his face turned bright red.
