Danika Mason has confessed to having suffered a bizarre dental incident after Andrew Johns stitched her up magnificently on live TV.
The Channel 9 star, 33, was ambushed by football great Johns on Tuesday when she shared photos of her emergency dental work and compared her to Jim Carey’s iconic character Lloyd Christmas in the film Dumb and Dumber.
Johns, setting the stage for the embarrassing photos, said: “It’s not the only injury news. There’s another major injury today.”
“We’ve got Lloyd Christmas from Dumb and Dumber. Can we see someone’s tooth that broke today?”
When asked how he managed to damage his front tooth, Mason gave a surprising answer.
“Opening a bag of chips, a bag of corn chips with your mouth,” he said.
A stunned Johns said, “Wait, wait, wait. Opening a bag of chips. What happened?”
“I was using my hands and it wouldn’t open,” she explained. “So I used my mouth and my tooth flew out into the car, so I had to go to the emergency dentist today.”
“Luckily I had a good dentist who was able to see me at 11 in the morning.”

Johns then felt the need to issue a public service announcement.
“The children at home don’t listen to Aunt Danika. Use your hands,” she said. “Don’t be impatient.”
Channel 9 presenter James Bracey stepped in and showed off his pearly whites.
“The kids at home are looking at James Bracey’s teeth,” Johns said. “Ten elephants had to die for that.”
Bracey said: “Lloyd Christmas’s long lost sister. That’s good.”
“Well done. Glad you’re okay. Good luck with whatever you do next.”
Mason has recently gone public with her new boyfriend, football star Liam Knight.
The couple went public with their romance after months of speculation, with the footballer embracing Danika in a photo shared on his page.
“My life is good,” she wrote in the caption, alongside the loving photo of the couple sharing an embrace.
Danika, 33, dumped her ex Todd Liubinskas in September, just three weeks before their wedding.
The personal trainer, 40, has since been linked to sex book author Helen Chik, 34.
