Channel Nine’s Love Island Australia returns to the TV screens this year.

The network confirmed reports that the dating series will return on Monday, sharing an Instagram post that read: “@LoveIslandAU is back!”

Love Island Australia is produced by ITV Studios Australia and the previous two seasons were filmed in Spain and Fiji.

It was initially feared that the reality TV show would be discontinued, with restrictions on overseas travel and production.

Sophie currently hosts Nine’s reboot of Beauty And The Geek – which last aired on Channel Seven in 2014.

Last week, the 41-year-old TV host revealed that only two of this year’s season nerds had ever kissed before appearing on the show.

She made up the admission Fitzy & Wippa from Nova FM on Friday.

“I think only two out of ten have ever had a first kiss,” she said, leaving radio hosts Ryan “Fitzy” Fitzgerald and Michael “Wippa” Wipfli shocked.

Wippa, 41, said their lack of experience was “extraordinary,” to which Sophie replied, “Isn’t it? Yes, some of them are in their thirties.’
