Channel 10 star Grant Denyer has revealed he is ready for a major career change.

The Deal or No Deal presenter, 46, has confirmed he has pitched a new show to broadcaster Nine.

However, the Gold Logie winner said he may have to wait years for a response from station bosses before getting the green light for the project.

The popular Dancing with the Stars winner made the admission during an interview with Television Tonight on Thursday.

In a shocking revelation, Grant also said he had a number of shows with ‘other networks’ and producers besides Nine.

“I’m really looking forward to pursuing some of my own projects,” he said.

“I still have something going on with Channel Nine at the moment, so I’m hoping to get something going there in partnership with a production company and just developing some ideas.”

Grant said he messaged Nine’s head of content, production and development Adrian Swift to ask for updates on his project.

“I text[Swift]every now and then and she’s like, ‘Yeah, it’s still on the boil. We still love it,’ but getting them to commit is a slow game, that kind of shit.”

“I’ve been told that sometimes a network can have an idea sitting in a drawer for five years before they bring it out. So I think the key is patience.”

Grant also revealed that he has a few more “ideas up his sleeve” and has also reached out to different networks.

This comes after Grant spoke out about his health issues, claiming he was pushing himself so hard that a doctor told him he was “going to die.”

Last month, Grant appeared on the Mental As Anyone podcast and said: “I was stick thin and very unhealthy, and the doctor said my organs were functioning at about seven per cent.”

‘It took me two lessons to realize that I had to change my mindset and my approach to life and what I prioritized as important until I learned the lesson and I feel like if I hadn’t learned it the second time, it would have been fatal the third time.’

The Gold Logie winner’s two previous lessons were a broken back in a car accident and his diagnosis of chronic fatigue.

“I broke my back, and I now firmly believe that it wasn’t from jumping seven cars in a monster truck, it was from ignoring all of my body’s signals, ignoring all of the signals my body was trying to give me to slow down,” Grant continued.

“You can’t keep up this pace, this fight and this aggressive pursuit to get to the next rung of the ladder, because you will die. As my body was deteriorating and my mental health was deteriorating, the monster truck accident came along to knock me to the ground,” he added.
