A Channel 10 reporter has been attacked by a bird while trying to film a story about Sam Kerr.

Senior reporter Ursula Heger was preparing a story about the Australian sports star accused of allegedly harassing a UK police officer for the 10 News First newsletter when she was suddenly attacked.

She tried to ignore the animal until it continued to ambush her nine more times.

Heger then ducked before bursting into laughter as a cameraman could be heard saying: “That’s the funniest thing.”

‘This is one of the most ridiculous moments of my life. “I stayed there and took it,” the journalist said.

It comes after an ABC News report was recently plunged into chaos when studio equipment broke down during a live broadcast.

A video of the embarrassing mistake shared on TikTok shows the teleprompter suddenly appearing in the background of a live studio interview.

At one point, guest lecturer Anna Twomey appeared to suppress a smile as she tried to maintain her composure.

Viewers were quick to weigh in on the disastrous incident on social media.

One viewer commented on Twomey’s ability to keep a straight face during the mistake, tweeting: “He did really well at keeping his composure… although he was losing control towards the end.”

Another viewer mistook the teleprompter for a camera and commented: ‘AI has brought ABC cameras to life. They seek fame and their first words will be “get me an agent.”

“I love news bloopers like this,” another viewer commented.
