Channel 10 is thrown into chaos when The Project disappears from screens across the country and viewers are not happy: 'What a mess!'

Viewers of the Project were shocked on Wednesday night when the Channel Ten news programme suddenly cut its broadcast.

Fans at home were enjoying the talk show when it suddenly stopped airing as the talent and crew were forced to “evacuate the building.”

It wasn’t long before The Project’s X-feed was lit up like a Christmas tree.

“Is there a blackout in the studio?” asked one bewildered viewer.

“Unforeseen circumstances? Deserves a more detailed explanation. Broken camera? Medical episode?” demanded another.

“Did you lose power?” wrote another

“What the hell happened? Your show just disappeared. I’m watching a dog adoption show now,” another commented.

“What happened to the show? The doghouse is on display here,” wrote another.

“Looks like The Project is in a crisis right now,” another fan joked.

A post shared on X by the show revealed that a fire alarm went off in the studio, causing the show to come to a complete halt.

Some members of the team quickly took to Instagram to livestream the evacuation, with one joking that Waleed Aly and Sarah Harris were “lifted out by helicopter.”

The Project returned to screens at 7:10 p.m.

More to come.
