Chanelle Hayes has revealed she changed her wedding dress just weeks before her nuptials after another star wore the same dress.
The former Big Brother star, 36, married Dan Bingham in an intimate ceremony at The Northorpe Barn in Yorkshire in July, two years after their engagement.
But Chanelle didn’t pick up the dress until the day before the wedding, after deciding to alter it at the last minute.
On Tuesday, the reality star showed on Instagram how she added off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves to change it up, after noticing another star had worn the same dress to her wedding.
However, fans were left wondering who Chanelle was referring to as they didn’t recognise the original dress at all.

They wrote: “Anyone want to know who the other lady was?” and “I wonder who was wearing the original dress.”
Comparing snaps of the stunning original beaded dress with a bodice and spaghetti straps, to the modified version, Chanelle wrote: ‘I never said this to anyone outside of my family and my bridesmaids.
‘I had to urgently change my wedding dress weeks before my wedding because another publicly known lady wore the same dress as me for her special day.
‘I didn’t want polls like ‘who wore it better?’ and nonsense because each of us had our perfect day and that’s not fair.
‘The dress was modified from version A: spaghetti straps without a belt to version B: off-the-shoulder tulle sleeves with a belt at the bottom of the corset.
‘I personally think that the modified version B was more suitable for me and I am very glad that fate intervened and forced me to make these modifications. Now I give the floor to you… Which version do you prefer for me?’
While Chanelle didn’t want a “who wore it better” poll, she did create a poll about which dress is better on her Instagram, and her fans told her they loved the changes she made.
Nicola McClean wrote: ‘I like the alterations you made so much more, absolutely stunning x’ and ‘Oh my goodness those alterations were meant to be made, because you and the dress look absolutely stunning!’
“You look so happy and dazzling.”

However, fans were left wondering who Chanelle was referring to as they didn’t recognise the dress at all.
But Chanelle didn’t actually choose the dress until the day before the wedding, after deciding to alter it at the last minute.
Chanelle previously revealed how the dress also had to be adjusted after she lost even more weight following a flare-up of myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME).
Myalgic encephalomyelitis, also called chronic fatigue syndrome or ME/CFS, is a condition that causes extreme tiredness and a variety of other symptoms.
The Big Brother star underwent gastric sleeve surgery in 2020, which saw her go from a size 18 to a size 10 and lose 42kg.
“We got married on Friday (June 28) and I couldn’t pick him up until after 4pm on Thursday. It was horrible. I kept thinking, ‘Okay, Dan said he was going to marry me in a garbage bag. ‘ I felt amazing on my wedding day, but I didn’t expect to be so thin,” she said. OK! Magazine.
“It’s covered in glitter and pearls, and I never thought I’d like it. I thought I’d have something simple, but I ended up going for the complete opposite.
‘I only visited one store – Love and Cherish Bridal Boutique in Ossett – and I think it was the fifth dress I tried on.
“I went shopping with my mom and a couple of my bridesmaids and as soon as I put it on we were all like, ‘This is the one.’ I also didn’t think I would want a veil, but I changed my mind about that, too.”
Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022.
The former BB housemate was reportedly “over the moon” and said “yes straight away” and a source told OK! magazine: “She’s been dreaming about this for a long time.
‘Chanelle has really been through some tough times when it comes to relationships and this time she really feels like she’s found the one.’
“She’s already thinking about making wedding plans and can’t wait to finally get married; she’s been dreaming about this for a long time.”
The television personality shares her 11-year-old son Blakely with her ex-partner Matthew Bates, with whom she was in a relationship between 2009 and 2010.
She also has four-year-old Frankie with Edward Oates, whom she was with on and off between 2016 and 2017.
