Chanelle Hayes married her fiancé Dan Bingham in an intimate ceremony last weekend.
And now the Big Brother star, 36, has revealed the truth about her big day after getting engaged two years ago, after suffering a mystery illness in the run-up to the big day.
The star, who was diagnosed with myalgic encephalomyelitis (ME) three years ago, said health problems led her to lose a lot of weight in a short period of time.
She said Ok! Magazine:Things could have been a big disaster. My health had not been the best in the weeks leading up to the wedding: I am waiting for the results of some tests and I lost a lot of weight in a really unexpected way.
‘So my dress needed a lot of alterations and it wasn’t actually ready until the day before the wedding.

“It was horrible. I kept thinking, ‘Okay, Dan said he was going to marry me in a garbage bag. ‘ I felt amazing on my wedding day, but I didn’t expect to be so thin.”
Elsewhere she talked about how to tailor her big day meal to the needs of her gastric band.
Chanelle has worn a dress size ranging from 6 to 18 over the years and has lost 62kg following a secret gastric sleeve operation.
She can no longer eat large meals and has swapped the traditional three-course dinner for canapés followed by her favourite dish: pie, mash and peas.
During the interview she also reflected on whether she wanted to have more children, saying that wouldn’t happen since Dan had a vasectomy earlier this year.
She joked: “God no. I sent Dan to get the cut last Valentine’s Day. They had a cancellation so it was fate and I was like, ‘Get over there!'”
Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022.
The former BB housemate was reportedly “excited” and said “yes right away,” according to a source. OK! Magazine:She has been dreaming about this for a long time.

The television personality shares her 11-year-old son Blakely with her ex-partner Matthew Bates, with whom she was in a relationship between 2009 and 2010.
She also has four-year-old Frankie with Edward Oates, whom she was with on and off between 2016 and 2017.
In October 2021, the influencer told her Instagram followers in a Q&A that she planned to walk down the aisle with her man and posted a rare photo of them.
In the post, Chanelle was asked: “Do you think you’ll get married?”
She responded to the fan with a ‘Yes’ and a love heart while hiding Dan’s identity with the question box.
In the snapshot, they can be seen looking comfortable having a drink while she revealed at the time that she had found the right one.
Chanelle announced her engagement to Dan in May 2022. The former BB housemate was reportedly “over the moon” and said “yes straight away.”
Her friend and former TOWIE star Maria Fowler, 37, took to Instagram to share with fans a glimpse of her special reception at the time.
She shared a quick video of all the guests twirling their napkins as the newlyweds made their entrance.
