A Championship club has sacked its manager after a disastrous start to the season that has left them bottom of the table.
Cardiff suffered their fifth defeat in six league games against Leeds on Saturday and remain bottom of the Sky Bet Championship with just one point and one goal this season.
Owner Vincent Tan is not known for his patience with 11 permanent managers in his 14 years at Cardiff and another has fallen when the club announced the sacking of Erol Bulut.
A statement said: ‘Cardiff City Football Club can confirm that first team manager Erol Bulut has been relieved of his duties and will leave the club with immediate effect.
‘The Board of Directors would like to thank Erol for all his hard work and wishes him the best for the future.

‘First team coach Nikolaos Karydas will also be leaving and will leave with the best wishes of the club. Further developments in the coaching staff will be confirmed at a later date.
‘Omer Riza will take charge of the First Team on an interim basis, while the Club looks to recruit a new Permanent First Team Coach.’
Speaking after Saturday’s defeat, Bulut acknowledged Tan’s track record with coaches but insisted he was capable of turning Cardiff’s fortunes around.
‘For him it won’t be anything new, I don’t think so,’ Bulut said of Tan’s record, before adding: ‘Why do I have to worry about that? Because he’s the owner.
‘Of course he wants results and for the club to be in a better position.
‘I’m sure we’ll have a meeting. (If) it comes like this (the dismissal), I have to accept it. If the club makes this decision, they have to make it. I have to take it as it comes.

“What can I change when the board says we are no longer together? But I am preparing for Monday’s training and I will prepare the team for the next match.
‘We can’t say that everything is bad. The results are important and some things need to change.
“We can change it. When we look at the first six games, this team, the way it played, deserves the position it’s in.”
