Comedian Celeste Barber was stunned after hearing her husband’s comments about her new Netflix series: ‘Can you say that again?’
Comedian Celeste Barber received an early review for her new comedy series Wellmania from her husband Api Robin.
The 40-year-old said Api praised the series after they watched a handful of episodes together at home.
“And I was like, ‘We’re four episodes in, we’ve been together for 20 years and it’s taken you so long to tell me I’m really good,'” he joked in an interview with 7Life on Saturday.
In Wellmania, which begins airing March 29, Celeste stars as Liv, a woman who embarks on a strict “wellness journey” after a doctor diagnoses her with “catastrophic” health.
Describing her husband as ‘hot’, Celeste said she was thrilled with Api’s verdict on his performance.

The cheeky star continued: ‘I wrote it, because it was nice to hear. Like, “can you say that again? I was going to film you saying that, thank you very much.”
The Netflix series is a major milestone in the career of the Australian comedian, who shares two children, Lou, 11, and Buddy, eight, with Api.
The Letdown star, who got her start as an actress in serious roles on shows like All Saints, plays the lead in the Netflix series.

Wellmania is a perfect fit for Celeste (pictured) as she is often mocked by celebrities and influencers for portraying an unrealistic image of beauty.
Inspired by Brigid Delaney’s novel Wellmania: Misadventures in the Search for Wellness, Celeste also serves as executive producer on the eight-part series.
It’s also a perfect fit for the comic, as she often mocks celebrities and influencers on Instagram for portraying an unrealistic image of beauty.
And Celeste couldn’t be happier that her social media fame has landed her a show on Netflix.
“I know it sounds ridiculous,” he said.
“But I’ve always been like, ‘I feel like I’m living inside a reality show that nobody’s watching,’ and I’ve worked so hard to get to this point… I’m like, ”yeah,” now that it’s here. So i’m excited.

Barber’s stand-up comedy special will also air on Netflix this year.
