Celebrity trainer Jono Castano Acero has revealed how YOU can stay in shape in lockdown or self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Jono, 28, told Daily Mail Australia on Thursday that it’s as much about mentality as it is about exercise.

The buff trainer – who works with people like Rebel Wilson – said it’s important to exercise the body regularly for 45 minutes and try to be as calm and stress-free as possible while you’re trapped indoors.

JONO’S TOP TIPS FOR STAYING FIT AND HEALTHY IN LOCKDOWN

-Exercise regularly for 45 minutes at a time, don’t have to be daily

-Focus on your food choices and intake. Eat healthy and fresh foods rather than processed products

-Try to limit drinking alcohol

-Keep thinking positive

He said people should eat a diet of “fruits, vegetables, and whole grains and focus on reducing saturated fats, salt, and sugar.”

Jono – who recently conducted live training for his followers – said it’s important to stay positive during the coronavirus pandemic and during self-isolation or lockdown.

“Even if it becomes difficult during isolation, keeping a calm and positive mind will help you focus on the solutions to any problems,” said Jono.

“Stress can have adverse effects on the body and mind. Also, don’t be afraid to ask for help. ‘

Jono told Daily Mail Australia earlier this month that he believes high intensity exercise (HIIT) is the best form of exercise for losing weight.

He also said at the time that it is also a good idea to stay in shape with walks or something physical.

Jono’s top priority is to make his customers feel good about themselves.

The men’s health trainer suggests that clients take selfies regularly to track their weight loss. A Fitbit or Apple Watch is also useful for tracking progress.

The Colombia-born ex-footballer has trained famous hairstylist Chris Appleton and Bachelor star Matty Johnson, among others.
