The celebrity rankings for miles of private jet use in 2024 have been released and the results may come as a surprise.
Considering the intense criticism Taylor Swift is facing for her private airline miles, many might assume the American pop sensation will take the top spot.
In reality, however, the 34-year-old came in at 45th place in the rankings, placed by CelebrityPrivateJetTracker.comwith her aircraft using 72,750 gallons of fuel to travel a total of 95,030 miles for nine days, 11 hours and 59 minutes during the year.
The website collects flight data from Airplanes.live, ADSB.fi and ADSB Exchange and fuel economy estimates are based on manufacturer data.
In first place is the former CEO of Google, Eric Schmidt, 69 years old, with a whopping 612,868 flying miles, 712,100 liters of fuel, spread over 58 days, 20 hours and 24 minutes and 495 flights.
It’s not the only form of luxury transformation for Eric: the 69-year-old won a lucrative auction in Antigua last year to buy a $67.6 million superyacht previously owned by a Russian oligarch.
In second place is Elon Musk’s private jet, which consumed 511,250 liters of fuel during 320 flights, good for 461,191 private flying miles.
In 2016, Tesla’s CEO bought his luxury Gulfstream G650, a favorite aircraft among the one percent – including football star Cristiano Ronaldo and Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Business insider reported.

Musk’s flying habits have been well documented over the years, and in 2018 alone he flew on more than 250 flights across the US, Europe and Asia and spent $700,000 on his plane, the WashingtonPost reported.
Musk’s 100-foot luxury jet is a fair trade-off for a real house, and it is equipped with multiple large televisions, fresh air circulation and 195 square meters for luggage storage, Gulf Stream said.
The aircraft also features a spacious laboratory and four large living rooms, with cream leather seats and wooden furniture.
One of the living areas has a VIP cabin with a sliding door, perfect for holding private meetings. It has a sofa and a flat screen television.
The total of 19 seats in the living areas are all adjustable, equipped with footrests and can be converted into beds. FOld tables stored on the side of the aircraft can be combined into a large dining table for guests to dine on board.
Kim Kardashian, who also owns a Gulfstream G650, took third place. The reality TV star and Skims mogul traveled 419,532 miles in 39 days, 16 hours and two minutes, using 464,320 liters of fuel. She made a total of 236 flights in the aircraft.
The mother of four bought her private jet in 2022 for a reported $95 million. She fitted the aircraft with custom modifications, bringing its reported value to $150 million.
Called “Kim Air,” it was first revealed to the public during an episode of her family’s Hulu reality show, The Kardashians.
Despite popular perception, Taylor Swift (seen on stage during her Eras Tour in Lisbon in May) did not top the new rankings

In fourth place is disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs, who reportedly traveled 415,139 miles over 308 flights in his Gulfstream V, which used 383,360 gallons of fuel.
Combs, 55, whose net worth has been estimated by Forbes worth $400 million, has used his social media in the past to document lavish holiday celebrations and other celebrities on yachts in remote areas.
Following his September 16 arrest in Manhattan on federal sex trafficking charges, the hip-hop mogul and his legal team have been unable to convince a judge to let him post bail from the facility.
Last week, Combs was denied bail by a judge, who presented evidence showing he posed a “serious risk” of witness tampering and evidence that he attempted to conceal prohibited communications with third parties while in custody.
Combs has denied guilty pleas that he coerced and abused women for years, aided by colleagues and employees. An indictment alleges he silenced victims through blackmail and violence, including kidnapping, arson and physical abuse.
Travis Scott took fifth place in the standings, driving a total of 404,644 miles in his Embraer E-190. The rapper completed 294 trips, using 765,200 liters of fuel. The amount he spent on traveling amounted to 43 days, five hours and 16 minutes.
He was last seen on his private jet in October when he arrived in Sydney for his Circus Maximus world tour to Australia.
The American rapper, whose real name is Jacques Bermon Webster II, arrived in Sydney by private jet just hours before his performance at the Allianz Stadium.

Billionaire climate activist Bill Gates (seen in September) was in the top ten twice with two different private jets
In sixth place is Jay Z’s Gulfstream V, which traveled a total of 386,642 miles over 291 trips and used 341,990 gallons of fuel. The billionaire traveled the equivalent of 38 days and five hours.
Beyoncé’s husband appears to be an avid private jet fan and in 2015 invested in ‘Uber for private jets’, Jetsmarter, an app built by 27-year-old entrepreneur Sergey Petrossev, which claimed to let anyone book a flight on a private jet in seconds.
Four years later, the app was accused of defrauding thousands of customers and losing millions by hiring celebrities to promote them.
In seventh place comes billionaire Bill Gates, who traveled 384,261 miles in his Gulfstream G650. He made a total of 228 journeys on the private jet, using 408,490 liters of fuel, more than the equivalent of 33 days, 7 p.m., and 17 minutes.
The climate change activist also took 10th place in his second Gulfstream G650, which covered 343,256 miles over 215 trips, which is the equivalent of 31 days, 10 o’clock, and 11 minutes and uses 378,700 liters of fuel.
By 2023, Bill claimed that he was not part of the problem regarding private jets polluting the world because of the lengths he goes to offset his carbon emissions.
While sitting for an interview with the BBC, Gates was pressed about whether or not he was a hypocrite for embracing climate change warnings while flying around the world on his massively polluting private plane.
Gates responded by saying he was “not part of the problem” because of the amount of money he pays to Climeworks – a company that offsets carbon emissions for a monthly fee.
While Bill’s jets took seventh and tenth place, Luke Bryan took eighth place. The American Idol judge logged 373,154 miles on 646 trips in his Learjet 60. The 48-year-old used 225,000 gallons of fuel for the equivalent of 45 days, 23 hours and 38 minutes.
In ninth place was Australian-born media mogul Michael Bloomberg, 82, who last year revealed he will leave his multi-billion dollar company to his philanthropic foundation when he dies, having traveled 359,284 miles over 305 trips in his Dassault Falcon 900.
The Bloomberg LP founder and former New York mayor’s plane used a total of 256,340 gallons of fuel over a period of 35 days, five hours and 20 minutes.
