Celebrity Gogglebox Australia is coming.
Daily Mail Australia can reveal that the highly anticipated celebrity spin-off has finally been given the green light from Channel 10 and Foxtel and will air next year.
A source at production company Endemol Shine said several well-known personalities had been contacted about their performance on the show.

“The shooting will start in the coming days and will feature some very colorful personalities,” the source said.
According to the insider, producers are looking for well-known duos instead of casting celebs and throwing them together as ‘households’.
“Several cast members from the past of Married At First Sight, Beauty and the Geek and MasterChef are on the whiteboard,” the spy said.

Other celebrities reportedly in talks include Anthony Callea and his husband, Tim Campbell, and The Masked Singer judge Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
Foxtel’s Executive Director of Television, Brian Walsh, confirmed that a celebrity edition of Gogglebox was in the works in May.

“I’m happy to share with you that next season we will be doing a celebrity edition of Gogglebox,” Mr. Walsh told the newspaper. TV Reload podcast.
It comes just days after Endemol Shine announced it had begun casting for the 2022 season of Gogglebox on MyCastingNet.

Producers are looking for Australian citizens or permanent residents living in Sydney, Brisbane, the Gold Coast or Melbourne.
To apply, prospective Goggleboxers must fill out an application form with photos and videos of their household to show where they watch TV.
The auditions opened after it was announced that two families would not be returning this year.

The Delpechitra family – Patrick, Tracey and their children Wendel, Vestal and Ethan – who live in Sydney’s west do not appear in Season 14.
The Elias family is also taking a step back, consisting of parents Les and Danielle and their three children, Jacob, Lily Rose and Ivy.
Five of the six original Gogglebox households have all signed up for the current season, including art dealers Mick and Di Kershaw, grandparents Lee and Keith, best friends Anastasia Katselas and Faye Kontos, and the Dalton family.
Brother-and-sister duo Tim and Leanne Lai also made a comeback, as did teachers Milo and Nic.
