Celebrity chef Giada De Laurentiis has left her fans divided after tasting a controversial dish in a new video posted to TikTok.
In the clipIn a post published Tuesday, De Laurentiis showed herself eating chocolate-covered pasta and declared that nothing was “more comforting.”
“Listen, it’s not the sexiest dish, but it’s really good,” the Italian Everyday star shared, while mixing the contents of the bowl.
During the video, she also showed viewers how they can make their own chocolate paste and started by pouring some noodles into a pot of boiling water.
“You know, this started when I was a kid,” she explained, straining the cooked noodles into a bowl.
“My mom used to make it with Nutella or chocolate chips, whatever, but I’m also the girl who ate chocolate sandwiches for breakfast, so I don’t think it’s that strange,” she continued.
Once the cooked pasta was in the bowl, she topped it with some Pariani brand chocolate and hazelnuts, which she said was a little “cleaner” since it contained real hazelnuts.
He sprinkled a few tablespoons over the pasta and then mixed it all together.

“It’s like Parmesan cheese,” he said, before taking a big bite.
“I challenge you to try it sometime,” De Laurentiis said at the end of the clip.
However, it seems like the Giada at Home star’s recipe didn’t exactly appeal to everyone, as many fans were divided over the interesting dish in the comments section of her post.
“Giada, I love you like cooked food, but this is a bridge too far,” one person wrote.
Another agreed: “Giada, now I know you’re playing with me.”
‘Giada… I love you… but no,’ someone else wrote.
A second user wrote: “I’m calling the police.”
And, as a finishing touch, he grated some Italian chocolate over the decadent dish.
However, it seems like the Giada at Home star’s recipe didn’t exactly appeal to everyone, as many fans were divided over the interesting dish in the comments section of her post.
Others, however, thought it sounded good and would dare to try it.
