Gary Goldsmith shared his views on Meghan Markle and Prince Harry during Tuesday night’s Celebrity Big Brother.
While settling into the house, Gary spoke to Louis Walsh and Sharon Osbourne, both 71, about their views on the royal family and criticized Meghan for changing the family dynamic.
The 58-year-old businessman, Carole Middleton’s younger brother and Kate Middleton’s uncle, also claimed that Harry “will come back and be part of the gang again one day.”
Gary admitted he didn’t know Meghan, saying: “I’m of the opinion that Harry was very, very loved and when they were a trio, Kate, William and Harry seemed very comfortable together, and suddenly there’s an extra dynamic.” That comes in and puts a stick in the spokes and creates so much drama that I don’t really think it’s there, and he rewrote the story, saying how unhappy he was and I just don’t think that’s fair.
“I mean you can’t criticize your family in such a dramatic way, then write books about it and expect to be invited to spend Christmas.”

He added: “I think it’s really sad. At some point I think he’ll come back and be part of the gang again. Maybe he needs it.
“We are a very forgiving nation, it would be good if you did.”
Gary later joked: “The worst thing I’ve ever said about him is that he wouldn’t make the pub quiz team.”
Sharon added her opinion to the mix, saying of Harry: “I think he’s dumb, but he’s not a bad person.” Of the couple’s reception in the United States, where she primarily lives, she said: “At first, they were very, very well received.
‘They don’t understand it, but they love it, you know? But it’s going down, down, down and there have been some deals that they’ve made that haven’t worked out well.”
Gary’s appearance on CBB has been described as “the last thing (Kate) needs” as she continues her recovery, a royal expert said today.
Kate’s uncle said she may have been watching ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother from “behind a sofa” when he entered the house on Monday night.
Host AJ Odudu asked him: “The nation needs to know if Kate will be watching.”
He said, “If it is, I guess it’s behind a couch.”
Gary, who is reportedly worth £30million, has enjoyed a close relationship with the Princess of Wales over the years and attended her wedding to Prince William in 2011.
The businessman, who is Carole Middleton’s younger brother and Kate Middleton’s uncle, (pictured) also claimed that Harry will “come back and be part of the gang again one day.”
Gary said: “Harry was really loved and when they (William, Harry and Kate) were a trio they were very close and when an extra person comes in things change.”
He added: “I think it’s really sad. At some point I think he’ll come back and be part of the gang again.
He continued: “We are a very forgiving nation, it would be nice if you did.”
Sharon added: “I think he’s a fool, but he’s not a bad person.”
Kate was a bridesmaid at Gary’s first wedding to sales executive Miranda Foote in 1991, and her uncle previously revealed how the heartbroken royal sought solace at his Ibiza villa after a split with William.
Kate is away from official royal engagements after major surgery in January, and Kensington Palace insisted last week that she was still “doing well”.
She has not been seen at any royal events since attending church in Sandringham on Christmas Day with William and her children George, Charlotte and Louis.
Gary is said to have told his friends he wouldn’t do anything to hurt Kate or William, but he previously attacked Prince Harry and Meghan and so they could now be in the line of fire.
