Sharon Osbourne has proposed Gary Goldsmith’s eviction from Celebrity Big Brother.

The former X Factor judge, 71, chose him, David Potts and Zeze Mills as the housemates who would enter the “danger zone” on launch night.

Now, in a preview of Wednesday’s episode of spin-off show Big Brother: Late & Live, it’s revealed that Sharon chose Kate Middleton’s uncle to face the public vote.

Late & Live panel guest Oti Mabuse speculated that Sharon may have chosen Gary because she was an avid fan of the royal family.

She said: “I think Sharon is very protective of the royal family and that’s why she’s put him up.”

On Tuesday’s episode, Sharon told Gary and housemate Louis Walsh that she is a big fan of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

Fans were left in hysterics after Fern Britton wasted no time in asking Gary why he had chosen to do the reality show.

Gary, brother of Kate Middleton’s mother Carole, revealed he hopes his time on Big Brother will allow the public to see a different side of him as he entered the house on Monday.

And as the housemates met and started mingling, the TV presenter got straight to the point, asking Gary: “I’m fascinated to know why you’re here.”

Slightly taken aback, Gary replied: “Because I want to prove that I’m not the caricature that appears in the press.”

Wondering if she’ll reveal any real gossip, Fern continued: “And how much can you say about everything?”

Gary added: “Well, I can give my opinion on everything,” before joking: “Unless a red laser dot appears on my chest.”

With Kate out of the spotlight as she recovers from abdominal surgery, royal fans will no doubt hope that the millionaire businessman, 58, He will talk about his relationship with his niece, who he says is “the most spectacular person I have ever met.”

Fans went wild over Fern’s powerful performance as one of them exclaimed: ‘Fearne (sic) asks the REAL QUESTIONS.’

A second joked: ‘Fern could have said that too. “Who the fuck are you?” to Gary’.

A third chimed in: “Love Fern Britton asking Gary why he’s there,” while a fourth added: “obsessed with Fern Britton grilling Gary Goldsmith and spilling that tea.”

Gary continued: “It gives me a chance to show that I’m kind, loving and fun.”

He later joked: “They call my Buncle a bad uncle, every family has one.”

Walking into the house on Monday, he said: ‘I often read that people think I’m a bit bad. It would be wonderful to set the record straight, but annoying people is probably one of my favorite pastimes.

“Every part of me is riddled with mischief and danger.”

Referring to his four marriages, he added: “I’m an absolute nightmare to live with, there’s a reason I’ve had four wives.”

Host AJ Odudu wasted no time in asking her if her royal niece would be tuning in.

Gary joked: “She’ll hide behind the couch if she’s watching.”
