Celebrity Big Brother SPOILER: David Potts reveals he had girlfriends before coming out as gay as he discusses being bullied as a teen

David Potts revealed he had girlfriends before coming out as gay as he discussed the bullying he suffered at school on Thursday’s Celebrity Big Brother.

The reality star, 30, known for her appearance on Ibiza Weekender, discussed some of her struggles growing up in a candid chat with housemate Fern Britton.

He said: “The bullying started in year 8, because when I was in year 7 I was going to high school. My older brother was in 11th grade, so it didn’t really happen at that time.

Fern asked: “And you were 11, 12 – did you know you were gay? »

David replied: “I knew there was something different at that point, I mean I was 12 so I didn’t know a hundred percent what it was, but I just knew it It was different because I had girlfriends and all that, when I knew deep down that it wasn’t true.

He added: “I left school at 16 and then in the summer holidays, as soon as I finished secondary school, that’s when I went out and did it. I told everyone.”

Fern replied: “Great, tell me about that moment!” »

David continued: “I came home, sat my mom down, told her and she told me everything was fine, I know, she told me not to worry about it , as if everything was fine.”

The star talked about how he was worried about his father’s reaction, but he was just as supportive as his mother.

David said: “I could just hear my dad coming up the stairs and I remember I was sitting in my room on my bed and I was so scared.

“He said to me: are you okay? And I was like yeah, that’s right, and he was like oh, your mom just told me what you had a talk with her about earlier, and he left, you don’t need to don’t worry, it won’t change anything and then he gave me a hug.

David rose to fame when he appeared as a representative on Ibiza Weekender with its follow-up Kavos Weekender. He has also starred in Celebs Go Dating and Celebs On The Farm.
