Celebrity Apprentice star Josh Gibson says he ‘can’t wait to become a father’ as ex-footy player and partner Ashley Bright prepare to welcome a son
Former AFL star Josh Gibson announced in March that he and partner Ashley Bright were expecting their first child together.
And the 37-year-old shared his joy of becoming a father in an interview with TV week to the magazine on Monday: “I can’t wait to be a father.”
Josh, who is currently starring in Nine’s Celebrity Apprentice, said he and Ashley will be welcoming a little boy in September.

“There have been many great things in my life, and some great achievements, but none of them will come close to being a father and having a little man,” he said.
Josh, who helped Hawthorn win the 2013 2014 and 2015 premierships, also said he plans to encourage his son to play football.
“There will be some football in his life, but in the end he can play what he wants,” he said.

In March, Josh and Ashley shared their exciting news by posting a photo of themselves on Instagram with their baby’s ultrasound.
‘Little Gibbo is coming in September 2021. Hawks fans will be delighted to know that scans show a large left hand [fist emoji]!’ he wrote in the caption.
A second photo showed a close-up of the ultrasound, surrounded by blue and white baby-themed cupcakes.

Josh and Ashley didn’t go public with their relationship until December of last year.
Before dating Ashley, Josh was in a relationship with mother of two Olga Kononchuk.
According to a report by the Herald Sun in January last year, they broke up in December 2019 after dating for nearly two years.
