During the wildfire, a house is set on fire

As wildfires continue to devastate California’s Pacific Palisades, many celebrities have been forced to flee their luxury homes as authorities warn of an “imminent threat to their lives.”

On Tuesday evening, Los Angeles City Council President Marqueece Harris-Dawson declared a state of emergency, warning that the worst of the storm is “yet to come.”

As panicked residents fled on foot, the city called in bulldozers to clear the streets of abandoned cars and clear a path for first responders to access the hills where the fire raged.

Teslas, BMWs, Porches and Mercedes were all filmed dozing on Tuesday afternoon – as terrified local millionaires said the natural disaster felt like an all-encompassing ‘tornado of fire’.

Evacuation notices were initially posted along the prosperous coastal region, with a chilling warning from the California Department of Forest and Fire Protection of an “imminent threat to life.”

The apocalyptic inferno has torn through the upscale neighborhood, home to many A-list celebrities, including Ben Affleck, Jhene Aiko, Tom Hanks and Miles Teller, among others.

Ben Affleck

The Hollywood star purchased his $20.5 million bachelor pad on July 24, the same day as his now ex-wife Jennifer Lopez’s 55th birthday.

The Gone Girl star took out a $10 million loan on the 6,200-square-foot property that was originally built and designed by renowned architect Cliff May in the early 1940s before being extensively renovated by the previous owners.

The estate – which sits on almost an acre of land – is also in a highly desirable neighborhood for the Los Angeles area, as it sits between the two affluent neighborhoods of Brentwood and Pacific Palisades.
