Celebratory chocolates have been pulled from shelves across Australia, leaving shoppers disappointed ahead of Christmas.
Popular bite-sized boxes of chocolates featuring Mar Bars, Snickers, Twix and other family favorites are a favorite holiday staple.
But, according to parent company Mars-Wrigley, supplying the box of goodies to Australians has become too expensive and a logistical nightmare.
“Our CELEBRATIONS® products were imported from Europe and, like many Australian businesses importing products from overseas, we are experiencing increasing cost pressures and supply challenges,” a spokesperson told FEMAIL.
The chocolate boxes are no longer on the shelves of large supermarkets and are marked online as “currently unavailable.”
Foodie Russ Stuart, who reviews under the name Russ Eats, was disappointed when he heard the news.
He said a source let him know that celebrations had been halted “at least for this year.”
“To be honest, this really bothers me,” he said.

‘Are celebrations dead?’
The foodie ranked Celebrations first in its “best holiday picks” rankings earlier this year.
His followers were devastated by the news.
“There won’t be Christmas without celebrations,” one person complained.
‘Say it’s not true, Russ. You’re usually my go-to outlet for good food reviews and news. “You ruining my Christmas wasn’t on the bingo card this year,” said another.
Entrepreneurial buyers who stockpiled the products take advantage of the situation.
“I saw a package on Ebay for $193,” one fan said.
However, they are available on Amazon for $99.
The Mars-Wrigley spokesperson told FEMAIL that the company is looking at ways to make the chocolates available again in the future.
‘We know that CELEBRATIONS® is a much-loved brand that plays a role in many family gatherings, events and, of course, celebrations.
“Therefore, we are currently reviewing options to reintroduce CELEBRATIONS® in 2025. We hope to have positive news to share with Australian consumers in the coming months,” they said.
This confirmed some of Russ’ fans’ speculation.
‘Best marketing work of the year. You’ll see them come back on December 1,” one man said.
