Cathy Freeman has once again been spotted using a cane to get around following the shocking announcement of her split from husband James Murch.
The couple announced their decision to separate in August after 15 years of marriage.
They also confirmed that they will continue their professional collaboration through Estrella Sports Management, requesting privacy.
Freeman, 51, who values her privacy, has not been seen much since the announcement.
However, she was photographed over the weekend on a chilly Melbourne afternoon, wearing a large padded jacket as she walked with a friend along a jogging track.
Although she was seen without her cane in July, she has since resumed using it to get around.
The Olympic champion ruptured her Achilles tendon at home last year, requiring surgery.
Freeman’s personal life has gone through many twists and turns over the years.

Freeman then married Murch in 2009 and they welcomed their daughter, Ruby, in 2011.
His sporting career, which ended in 2003, remains the highlight of his life.
Winning the gold medal at the 2000 Sydney Olympics was a great achievement, although she later expressed regret at not having competed in the 800 metres.
This comes after Freeman announced her separation from husband James Murch in August.
“After I retired, I realised I had a big appetite for the 800m, so I moved from a single-lap event to a two-lap event,” he said.
“I would have loved, loved, loved to give the 800m a real go.”
After retiring, Freeman created the Cathy Freeman Foundation, dedicated to supporting indigenous students.
She also served as an ambassador for the Australian Indigenous Education Foundation until 2012.
