It took ITV months of back and forth to recruit her from her big presenting job in the US.
And now, just weeks after Cat Deeley made her debut on This Morning, BBC bosses are keen to lure her to the network to present an entertainment show.
Beeb sources have revealed that following an ongoing row between the BBC and ITV over poaching each other’s talent, some bosses at the Corporation are said to “see tremendous value” in hiring her.
Someone told The Mail on Sunday: ‘Cat has the queen of Saturday night TV feeling, and there is a lack of females in that area.
“She’s used to putting on a dazzling show in America, and if given the right show here, she could be an absolute ratings winner.”

ITV recently poached BBC stars Graham Norton, Gary Lineker and Zoe Ball to present its shows, while Alison Hammond and Paddy McGuinness were lured from ITV to its rival.
Given the lack of ‘golden handcuff’ offers in recent years, stars are free to work on the channels they want. When Holly Willoughby, Deeley’s predecessor, presented This Morning, she also presented the BBC show The Voice between 2012 and 2014 and, in 2022, she presented Freeze the Fear with Wim Hof.
