And Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard rested after their four days on air, sharing a glimpse of their very different weekends with their Instagram followers.

Ben shared a sweet tribute to Cat and his first week as part of the This Morning family with a post on Saturday, admitting he was trying to stay healthy after a week of eating on the popular morning show.

“I just looked through the many amazing photos from @kenmckayphoto from this week @thismorning @catdeeley and laughed a lot and of course ate some delicious food!” he wrote.

“I’m now fasting over the weekend to make room for more next week!! Thank you for all your lovely messages. See you Monday I hope!’

Cat was quick to comment on her co-presenter’s post, joking: “I’m now cooking a steak @donalskehan” while tagging chef Donal who made an appearance on the show this week.

She then took to her own Instagram page to share a photo of her steak which she had prepared for her two sons, joking: “Well fasting, I’m cooking. Making a Saturday night steak. Slice and serve to two hungry boys.

Cat is enjoying the weekend with her boys while her husband Patrick Kielty stays in Dublin, where he records his popular Late Late Show Tuesday to Friday, for the St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.

Cat returned to the UK to work after more than a decade spent in the US hosting So You Think You Can Dance.

Alongside her role on This Morning, ITV’s new golden girl is also reportedly set to replace her friend Ant McPartlin in the latest series of Britain’s Got Talent, if his wife Anne-Marie Corbett gives birth.

The presenter, 48, is set to become a father for the first time in June, coinciding with live broadcasts of the competition following the broadcast of last year’s final on June 4.

Now according to The sun ITV is drawing up a consistency plan in case the Geordie are forced to swoop in and leave sidekick Declan Donnelly’s side.

According to the publication, new This Morning presenter Cat, 47, could be brought on board as a guest host, with Stephen Mulhern’s name also in the mix.

A source said: “The timing is causing a real headache for bosses.

“They are wondering if Dec would present alone if Anne-Marie goes into labor or, if time permits, a guest presenter could step in. Cat and Stephen, who the guys have worked with in the past, are up front.”

Cat hosted SMTV with Ant and Dec from 1998 to 2001 while Stephen regularly appears with the duo on Saturday Night Live.
