A man was shot inside a law firm building in Sydney’s inner city on Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency services were called to a building on Castlereagh Street in the CBD, at around 12.50pm.
Officers from Sydney City Police Area Command attended and found a man suffering from what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
The man was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and first responders and taken to St Vincent’s Hospital.
A crime scene has been established and the public is advised to avoid the area to allow emergency services access.

“A man has been arrested and there are no further threats to the community,” a police spokesperson told Daily Mail Australia.
The building where the shooting occurred contains several law firms, including O’Brien Criminal and Civil Solicitors and Princeton Lawyers.
The Greek consulate is also located in the building.
Staff at the closing of the NSW Parliament have been told not to go out.
