Jamie Redknapp criticized Casemiro and claimed he looks like a Soccer Aid player after Man United’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth.
United struggled at the Vitality Stadium but earned a point thanks to Bruno Fernandes’ brace.
After joining from Real Madrid for £70m in the summer of 2022, Casemiro shone last season, but the 32-year-old’s performance has fallen sharply this time around.
Against the Cherries, the Brazilian failed to provide much protection to the United defense and Redknapp was offended by Casemiro’s performance.
“I have watched him for many years and he is one of my favorite midfielders in world football,” he said in sky sports.

‘I love watching him play. But right now it looks like he’s at Soccer Aid. It seems like he is playing at such a pace that the game is a bit fun and there are celebrities entering the field.
‘No. This is the Premier League… you have a lot of experience. That’s not the case with anything but running.’
Redknapp’s criticism appeared to stem from Justin Kluivert’s second goal for Bournemouth when the Dutch star isolated young defender Willy Kambwala, before firing an emphatic shot.
The Sky Sports expert, who played in Soccer Aid, the world’s biggest celebrity football match, in 2021, felt that Casemiro should have done much more to help his teammate and questioned his attitude.
“Don’t lose sight of Casemiro,” he added, while repeating the goal. ‘Now he decides to walk? Why do you walk there?
“Things are happening very quickly and now you have realized that players like Rodri and Declan Rice, are they going to walk when Kambwala faces Kluivert in a one-on-one situation?
‘I’m thinking I need to help my partner. He is nineteen years old, you have experience and you won the Champions League.
“Just as he continues, he’s still walking and decides, ‘I’m going to start jogging a little bit.’ Now look how close he is when Kluivert shoots. If he had run, he would have blocked it.”
Redknapp continued: ‘(With) KObbie Mainoo. She has the whole world at her feet, but it takes great role models to get to the top.
‘You need great people to look up to and aspire to be. At the moment Casemiro is not setting the right example for those around him.

He questioned his attitude and claimed that he was not setting a good example for Kobbie Mainoo.
“Like I say, I’m a big fan, but that’s not good enough because if he ran, I would have stopped him.”
The result left United in seventh place, with Erik ten Hag’s side winning just once in their last seven league games.
They return to action with an FA Cup semi-final against Coventry next Sunday, before hosting Sheffield United in the following midweek.
