Carson Daly, 48, reveals he and wife Siri are STILL sleeping in separate beds

Carson Daly has revealed that he and wife Siri still sleep in separate beds – and he insists it’s the “best” thing that ever happened to them.

Today’s host, 48, gave a update about their sleeping arrangements on Friday’s show, explaining that he will crash on the couch or in the guest bedroom if he’s not with his wife, 41.

“I got my sleeping and divorce papers a few years ago,” he reminded his co-stars. “It’s the best thing that ever happened to us. Admittedly, we both slept better apart.’

Today Food employee Carson and Siri began sleeping in separate beds while she was pregnant with their fourth child, Goldie, who was born in March 2020.

Two years later they have made some adjustments and are now alternating between sleeping together and separately.

“We kind of reconciled it, so we sleep separately,” he noted. “So some nights I’m in bed. Some evenings I sit on the couch or in the guest room.’

Carson brought up their sleeping arrangements as they discussed a Scandinavian sleeping method where couples share a bed but no blankets.

“You have your own comforters or comforters,” he explained. “Studies have even shown that sleeping with the same blanket can lead to more interrupted sleep, up to 30 percent.”

‘I think so,’ Craig Melvin agreed, but their opponent Tom Llamas insisted he was ‘totally against’ the concept.

“How do you have a woman who wants to cuddle?” joked Carson.

‘This sounds like’ [it’s] really worth a try,” he added, “because you have independence.”

Carson has been candid about his and his wife’s sleep problems, which came to a head during her last pregnancy.

“We’re both pretty big people, and it just didn’t really work out when she was in her third trimester, and I also have sleep apnea, which is very sexy for the ladies out there, I’m sure,” he shared. People in the year 2020.

They slept separately after their youngest daughter was born, as they temporarily lived in California while he was filming The Voice.

He had to get up around 3am for the Today show and he didn’t want to risk waking his wife and baby girl by sleeping in the same room as her.

“I don’t know if we’ll ever sleep together again,” he said at the time.
