Carrie Bickmore has revealed some major family news on social media.
The 43-year-old radio and TV star took to Instagram on Monday to reveal that his son Oliver had turned 17 and was on his way to becoming a licensed pilot.
The mother-of-two posted a slideshow featuring images of ‘Ollie’ in the cockpit, as well as two versions of a cake Carrie had baked herself featuring the plane he trained on.
In the caption, she joked that her baking was “terrible,” before sharing her second, improved attempt at making a model airplane on top of a baked cake balloon.
One of the first comments on the post came from Carrie’s radio co-host and alleged lover, Tommy Little.
“But where’s the cake! All I can see is a real world and a huge plane,” joked the 39-year-old comedian, who is also a licensed pilot.
Fans were stunned by Oliver’s news, with one writing: “Oh my god, amazing!”
“How exciting! My brother is 56, got his license at 16 and never looked back,” wrote another.

Oliver is the son Carrie had with her late first husband, Greg Lange.
She then had a daughter, Adelaide, with her partner Chris Walker in 2015, before the couple split in 2023.
Last year, Carrie and Tommy hosted their HIT FM radio show from Paris, France, which convinced fans that they were romantically involved.
Carrie split from her partner of eleven years early last year, while Tommy was reportedly single following his split from girlfriend Natalie Kyriacou in 2021.
Carrie announced their split in an Instagram post in January 2022, saying the couple were focused on co-parenting their three children, Ollie, 16, Evie, eight, and Adelaide, five.
“It is with immense sadness that Chris and I have decided to separate,” she wrote.
Last year, Carrie and Tommy hosted their HIT FM radio show from Paris, France, which convinced fans that they are romantically involved.
‘While this is a difficult time, our focus is on raising, loving and supporting our three children Ollie, Evie and Addie with everything we have.
“They are doing very well. We will not make any further comments.”
Tommy rushed to Carrie’s side the moment she confirmed their breakup, leading insiders to speculate that their friendship could evolve into something more.
It’s been a big year for the radio power couple, with their Hit Network show recently hitting number one in the August ratings.
Reaching the number one spot last month marks the couple’s fourth consecutive ratings win – the best result Hit Network has received for its Drive show since 2018.
Oliver is the son Carrie had with her late first husband, Greg Lange.
Carrie and Tommy currently has an 11.1 per cent market share across Australia, with an 11.7 per cent share in Melbourne and 17 per cent in Brisbane.
The duo have also been nominated for two Australian Commercial Radio Awards (ACRA).
The nominations they received include ‘Best On-Air Crew’ and ‘Best Comedy Segment’ and the results will be announced in October.
