The driver of a car that crashed into a tree and killed twin seven-year-old girls in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia four months ago has been charged.
Emergency services were called to the scene of the serious accident on the Great Eastern Highway at Carrabin, between Merredin and Southern Cross, shortly after 11am on Sunday, February 18.
“On arrival at the scene it was confirmed that the accident involved a white Toyota Camry sedan which had left the road and collided with a tree,” said a Western Australian Police statement issued at the time.
‘Tragically, two seven-year-old girls died at the scene.

“The driver, a 31-year-old woman, was taken by St John WA to Merredin Hospital.”
On Sunday, WA Police said a 31-year-old woman from Halls Head, south of Perth, had been charged with two counts of careless driving causing death, grievous bodily harm or bodily harm.
He is due to appear at Northam Magistrates Court on Monday.
