Carol, nicknamed Carol Snorederman after the reason for her absence was revealed, said on the show: “One of my best friends, Nathan Sussex – before I got fired from the BBC we used to do a radio show together on a Saturday. .

‘So she was going to marry Jemy, so we were talking about this wedding for at least two years. We talked about it on the program, I knew every detail of this wedding…

‘On the day of the wedding we all arrived, there were about 200 of us. “At nine o’clock they had to change the big room for the disco; another 100 people came, so we talked about our outfits for months…

‘So I had this green dress with rhinestones for the day. I bought this black latex dress and gloves for the night. So they say, ‘Oh, we can’t wait, we can’t wait.’

“All my gay friends are like, ‘Let’s just go change,’ so I get to my room and I’m like, ‘I’ll take a little nap, fall asleep for five minutes.'”

‘Six hours later… I missed the disco, I missed the fireworks, which would make Sydney Bridge look like nothing on New Year’s Eve.

‘They had been knocking on my door, I had 273 messages on my phone, they couldn’t find me. “Ever since then I feel completely ashamed.”

Carol’s confession can be seen when she meets Nathan again for the first time since his Saturday morning show on BBC Radio Wales ended due to his outspoken political views. Nathan said, “It was like Dynasty on crack.” There was a costume change, so the night was glitzy and glamorous.

‘Everyone is running around saying ‘Where’s Carol?’ “I thought she had gone home.”

Carol’s admission can be seen on Unforgiven on Tuesday at 10pm on Dave or streamed on UKTV Play.
