A teenager is among five people who have been rushed to hospital following a car accident.
A Volkswagen Passat was seen “driving erratically” before colliding with an Alfa Romeo on Lygon Street in Carlton, north Melbourne, on Saturday.
The Alfa Romeo then spun out of control and struck a pedestrian.

The male pedestrian sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital.
A teenage girl in the Alfa Romeo sustained life-threatening head injuries and was taken to Royal Melbourne Hospital.
A man and a woman were also taken to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Victoria Police said the driver of the Volkswagen had been taken to hospital under police surveillance.
“The driver of the Volkswagen was detained by bystanders until police arrived and was taken to hospital under police watch with non-life-threatening injuries,” a spokesman said.
