The Azerbaijan Grand Prix between Carlos Sainz and Sergio Perez came to a devastating end just one lap from the end after both crashed into the wall in a high-speed accident.

Sainz, Perez and Charles Leclerc battled for the last two podium spots as McLaren’s Oscar Piastri edged ever closer to the lead.

Leclerc got past the duo and was on course for second place as Sainz made a bold pass on Perez.

However, the two collided when Sainz appeared to spin towards Perez and forced them both into the wall as debris flew everywhere.

Perez’s onboard camera showed the Mexican’s fury towards his rival as he angrily gestured in Sainz’s direction.

“What the hell!” Perez said on the radio.

‘Are you crazy?’
