Carl Radke admitted he regrets how he treated his ex-fiancée, Lindsay Hubbard, while filming the eighth season of Summer House.
The day after the season finale aired, the reality TV star, 39, confessed that he was “not proud” of how he behaved near the end of his relationship with the former public relations executive, 37.
This comes shortly after Hubbard spoke out about being blindsided by Radke when he broke off their engagement on camera in an explosive scene, which aired during Thursday’s episode.
She said Glamor the same day he dodged a “huge bullet.”
“I’m not proud of how I handled the situation and how I treated her,” Radke said. The New York Times in an interview published Friday.
Addressing how their relationship developed on the hit Bravo series, he added, “I mean, I was clearly frustrated and, you know, I wish I’d been really more direct.”

And reflecting on his behavior during the filming of season eight, she said viewers “can clearly see him struggling to communicate (his) feelings.”
He said the blame falls on him even though viewers saw him point the finger at his ex-fiancée when they argued during season eight episodes.
“That’s not up to her,” he said before the meeting. ‘That’s up to me.
“I see myself blaming and playing the victim, and I don’t want to be that either,” she continued.
During the eighth season’s episodes, viewers watched a rift grow in their relationship before they announced that they had called off their engagement in August 2023, just two and a half months before their wedding.
After wrapping filming last year, production took to the cameras again to capture Radke ending things with Hubbard at their shared apartment in New York City.
In the last episode and tense scene, he blamed her for not caring about his feelings and accused her of playing the victim, all of which he blames himself for now.
And before the reunion aired, Hubbard also talked about their breakup, but in a more positive light, as she said she’s grateful to have dodged a “huge bullet.”

“I really feel grateful that the universe, or God, or whatever higher being you believe in, stepped in and saved me from a really long, hard, hard life ahead,” Hubbard told Glamor.
“And because of that, I learned a lot from a very traumatic experience, and I feel like I learned a lot about what I’m not going to do in my future, especially in my romantic life.”
Hubbard also spoke about his reaction to watching the tense breakup scene during the season finale, less than a year after it was filmed.
She said that when she watched the episodes in advance, she had to space them out to avoid “creating constant anxiety” in herself.
“When I watched each episode, I reminded myself that this was the past,” she said. “But what I did differently this season was that I stacked the episodes so I didn’t watch them every week like viewers do.
She explained: “I would wait a couple of weeks and then watch a few at a time, then take a month off and then watch a few more.” That way I didn’t create constant anxiety.’

“I was very into this and I’m a great fighter.” “I’ll never leave until I can look in the mirror and know that I’ve done everything humanly possible to make something work,” he said.
Hubbard also added that her Summer House co-star Gabby Prescod helped her see what she was missing by reflecting and analyzing her past relationship.
‘As we laid everything out on the table, I saw the red flags I had been ignoring, out of love, and maybe out of (desire for) a fairy tale,’ she acknowledged.
And he also shared some of his own regrets about their relationship.
He pointed to one instance in which the couple argued when Hubbard questioned Radke’s sobriety.

Looking back, he stood by everything he said as it “came from the right place” but admitted his “delivery was shit.”
“It’s hard to understand what it’s like to be with an addict unless you experience it yourself,” he said. ‘You pay attention to certain behaviors and worry.
‘At the end of the day, Carl was the love of my life. This was the guy I’m about to marry and spend the rest of my life with. He was my partner. He was my future husband. So when I question certain behaviors of his, he came from the right place.”
