Carl Froch branded Anthony Joshua “disgraceful” and revealed details of a WhatsApp dispute between them in a shocking public denunciation by the boxer.
This comes after Joshua was asked to sum up Frock in one word and he opted for “pr***.”
Joshua’s IBF heavyweight title fight with Anthony Dubois has been confirmed to go ahead at Wembley on September 21, but Froch has played down AJ’s legacy.
By posting screenshots purportedly from a private conversation with Joshua after the press conference for that fight, Cobra attacked AJ on the latest episode of ‘Froch on the fight’.

He also revealed some messages from what is being presented as a WhatsApp dispute between the two.
The Cobra also shared a video in which AJ says ‘get on my level’ while showing off his money
“He came back and said, ‘I don’t like you,’ and fair enough, you don’t like me, but all I’ve done is been honest and given constructive criticism on what you’ve done since you lost to Ruiz and Usyk, and where you’re going now is fighting Dubois.
‘No need to get personal, no need to start with the siren of a man; by the way, he looks pretty good.
‘And then you’ve got your £10 and £20 notes spread out on your bed saying (“get on my level, get on my level”) levels, it’s all about levels.
“Where is the humble man? Where is the “remain humble, remain humble” (quoting Joshua)?
‘He’s talking about levels and he says I’m not at his level. But he’s talking about money. Fair play to him: he has made a fortune, he has destroyed it.
‘But let’s talk about levels in terms of legacy, fights and professional victories. A little fat kid from Mexico forced him to quit for God’s sake. He spat out his mouthguard and looked around, searching for the corner, looking for people in the crowd to help him.
He was punched from post to post. The referee looked at him: “Do you want to continue, do you want to keep fighting?” And what did he do? He surrendered on his feet.
“That’s embarrassing, something Cobra would never do. And you can take that to the bank!”

Froch questioned where Joshua’s humility had gone and mocked him for quitting against Andy Ruiz Jr.
In the messages Froch revealed, he had asked: ‘who the fuck are you calling an asshole?’ Joshua had replied: ‘Because… I think you are.’ When pressed by Froch on why, AJ responded with an ‘I just do,’ before Cobra replied: ‘Do something about it then b*tch!’
He also shared a video Joshua had sent of himself counting £10, £20 and £50 notes saying “get on my level”.
Froch certainly has an impressive legacy. He was a four-time world champion in the super middleweight division and a two-time WBC world champion.
Few fighters finish the sport on a high note, but he did so after a brilliant two-fight series with George Groves, winning both to retain his belts.
In a 35-fight career, Froch won 33 fights and knocked down 25 of his opponents.
Joshua, a two-time unified world heavyweight champion, also has a lot going for him.
He is still recovering from a difficult few years. Between 2019 and 2022 he lost three of his five fights: one against Andy Ruiz Jr. and two against Oleksandr Usyk.
However, since then, he has won four fights in a row, including a quick knockout over Francis Ngannou in March in Saudi Arabia.
Joshua is rebuilding after a rough patch, including two losses to Oleksandr Usyk, and has won four fights in a row.
He will fight Dubois on September 21 at Wembley Stadium in what promises to be a packed Riyadh season card.
The pair will fight for the IBF heavyweight belt after Usyk confirmed he was vacating the world title.
Usyk defeated Tyson Fury on points earlier this year to become the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world with the WBC, WBA, WBO and IBF titles.
