The WAP singer, 31, put on her ‘game face’ while trying balut, which is a fertilized duck egg, for the first time.
‘I’ve been seeing this for a long time, it’s called balut. I got it, let’s try it and rate it from 1 to 10,” she said. ‘This egg is huge! As if this egg was giving two yolks.’
Before Cardi, who had a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner with ex-husband Offset, swallowed the questionable egg, she took some Pepto Bismol to “protect her stomach.”
“I have a very sensitive stomach,” he said. “Now, let’s begin.”

“If you’re a real Bardigang, you know I can eat anything with lemon and salt, so I bought lemon, salt and pepper,” he said, holding a bowl of seasoning ready to sprinkle over the egg. ‘Let’s try!’
She was keen to try the unusual dish and poured lemon juice onto the end of the egg she opened.
The Bongos singer took a sip of the egg and immediately turned pale and began to retch.
But she didn’t give up and tried again. ‘No. You know, I’ll hold my nose and drink,” Cardi said, preparing to go even deeper.
Cardi opened the whole egg and took out the duck meat, and immediately took a bite, before spitting it out and running out of frame.
‘No. I don’t like it,’ she said. ‘…It has a lot of meat. It literally tastes like raw chicken to me. I don’t know, it was too fun for me. Too much meat smell.
Cardi was honest and full of personality in the video and said that the balut was: “not for me.”

Balut is traditionally prepared by taking a fertilized duck or chicken egg and letting it mature for two to three weeks and then boiling or steaming it.
The meat is then eaten from the inside of the shell and cooking the egg creates a broth with a strong flavor.
If it has been incubated long enough, the growing duck or chicken has sometimes developed a beak and feathers inside the shell.
Balut is commonly sold as street food in the Philippines, Cambodia and Vietnam.
