Cardi B hits back on Candace Owens for calling her a “ shame ” for the Biden interview

Cardi B and Candace Owens waged a series of harsh social media exchanges on Sunday after the conservative commentator called the Grammy-winning rapper “ illiterate ” and an “ embarrassment ” for black people.

The feud started on Sunday night when Owens, 31, shared a clip from her performance on The Ben Shapiro Show, in which she said she hit Democratic nominee Joe Biden for participating in an interview with Cardi B – real name Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar – for Elle last month.

Owens said it was “one of the biggest insults” to black voters that Biden decided to do the interview with an “illiterate rapper,” rather than someone who could ask the “tough questions.”

The Republican went on to say the former vice president thinks ‘black people are stupid’ and compared his interview with Cardi B to Donald Trump who was interviewed by Justin Bieber.

Cardi, 27, got wind of Owens’ comments and hit her back in a video on Instagram, insisting that Biden decided to sit down with her due to her wide influence.

“It’s no secret that I use my platform to encourage people to vote,” said Cardi, who previously endorsed Bernie Sanders during the video.

‘I have millions of followers. I pay millions in taxes. I have number one in this country, I have number one in the UK, I have number one in Australia, I have number one in New Zealand.

“Just as I can make millions of people pop,” she said of her hit single WAP, “I can get millions of people to vote.”

Cardi denounced Owens for being a “cheerleader” for Trump, and slammed the pundit for being “pimped by white men.”

“I don’t know what black man broke your heart … that you hate your kind so much,” Cardi said. “To be honest, I just feel sorry for you,” she said in a separate message.

In the video caption Cardi B wrote: ‘@realcandaceowens here, I hope these followers you soooo wanted from me make you happy … leave me alone now … love yourself that one thing for me! ‘

Owens later responded with an Instagram video of her own, claiming that Cardi is ‘hurting black America’.

“You keep saying you have a number one number – it means s ***,” Owens said. ‘Nobody cares about a song about your’ Wet A ** P **** ‘. That has nothing to do with Black America, and whether you’re helping or hurting, right now you’re hurting Black America. ‘

The 31-year-old then suggested to Cardi B that her husband, Offset, is statistically more likely to kill her than a police officer.

The back-and-forth also came out on Twitter and continued until Monday morning.

Owens accused Cardi of encouraging millions of people to “vote for the man who has locked up entire generations of black men.”

“Maybe you go google: JOE BIDEN AND 1994 CRIME BILL,” she suggested, before adding, “Joe Biden used you. Bernie Sanders used you. Neither likes or knows your music. They think you are stupid. ‘

The hitmaker responded by insisting that Owens, meanwhile, is’ encouraging millions to vote for a man who laughs Everytime a black men [sic] is murdered by a cop telling millions of Americans to drink bleach, ” a clear allusion to when the president asked that the White House coronavirus task force in April investigate whether a disinfectant could be injected as a treatment for coronavirus.

“Trump didn’t even let you talk at the Republican convention,” Cardi continued. ‘He thinks you’re stupid. MASA got you dirty, but are you mad at me? ‘

Cardi also referred to her sister Hennessy Carolina and her sister’s girlfriend who got into a verbal argument with what she called “racist MAGA supporters”; during a recent beach trip to the Hamptons as an example of the continuing prevalence of racism in the US.

Cardi parodied her hit single and also tweeted Owens, who is six months pregnant, and wrote: ‘Your baby is singing wap wap wap this dry ass p ****’.

Owens refuted the comment, writing, “Attacking an unborn child. How much of you DEMOCRAT.

While I have you – did you know that your party has supported the slaughter of more than 18 million black babies since 1973? Did you know that the most unsafe place for a black child in their mother’s womb is because of YOUR party? she continued.

While the pair stopped messaging each other directly, they continued to make a number of tweets and interactions with their followers about the feud Monday.

In one of those posts, Owens ripped off Cardi B for what she considered hypocrisy about the rapper’s calls to defend police and criticism of the US in general.

Never listen to someone who has private security but wants the public police to be dissolved. Never listen to a multi-millionaire who made it here in America, but destroys our country, ” she tweeted on Monday. “These Hollywood idols are impostors, guiding sheep along paths they never took when they discovered success.”

Cardi B has not yet directly referenced Owen’s latest tweet. She does, however, retweet a statement of support from New York Congressional candidate Ritchie Torres, who wrote, “ Thank you Cardi B for exposing [Candace Owens] for the fraud that she is. You make the Bronx proud. ‘

Cardi B is currently number one on the charts in multiple countries with her controversial single WAP, featuring Megan Thee Stallion.

During her in-depth conversation with Joe Biden last month, the rapper questioned the presidential hopeful about policy issues such as the COVID-19 pandemic, police brutality, college affordability, and healthcare.

“I have a whole list of things I want our next president to do for us,” she told Biden. “But I want Trump out first.”
